Music critic Romeo Alexandrescu on the concert held by the class of 1932 of the Royal Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in Bucharest, hosted by the city’s Lyric Theatre, when Lipatti played, aged 15, Frédéric Chopin’s Piano concerto no. 1 in E minor accompanied on the second piano by Constantin C. Nottara.

The review appeared in “Universul”, in June 1932:
“[D]inu Lipatti, a very young pianist, occasioned us the meeting with a rare talent, already in full bloom at such a tender age; he masters the keyboard and understands music as only a mature performer would – in addition, he enjoys the benefits of a keen sense for music and of a particular temper which make him even now a true artist.”

„[D]inu Lipatti, a very young pianist, occasioned us the meeting with a rare talent, already in full bloom at such a tender age; he masters the keyboard and understands music as only a mature performer would – in addition, he enjoys the benefits of a keen sense for music and of a particular temper which make him even now a true artist. Dinu Lipatti’s special gift for music – which, judging by his masterful pianism, has been excellently nourished by his teachers – opens him the path to a brilliant career as a concert pianist.”
