"Each time « the young ones » leave their nest to fly ever higher and further away, their performances are glorified as if by an enchanting chorus of magical birds from among related tribes, which forgets that the « young ones » can already fly unaided, that they no longer need to hear the admiration expressed, but not criticism expressed, that such kind of encouragement is now inappropriate and can even cause damage… So let us stop looking at Dinu Lipatti as at a miracle student – on the contrary, let us realise that he is an authentic artistic nature about to come of age who seriously and properly affirms himself and who deserves to be esteemed and not gaped in wonder at.
